My fibroid tumor began in my early 40’s. It sat above my pelvic bone the size of a walnut. “No need for concern” said the gynecologist.
As the years passed it grew to the size of a pear, then a grapefruit. “These things generally resolve themselves” said the professionals. “It will shrink and disappear after menopause, no need for concern”. So I took the ‘ignore it’ route.
I finished menopause around 54 years old, and all hell broke loose. The tumor grew rapidly to cantaloupe size with no sign of slowing down.
Studies suggest that the incidence of cancerous fibroids increases in women in their 50’s and 60’s. Post menopausal fibroids are cause for concern. When the tumor begins to grow rapidly at this time in life it is, ‘yes, time for concern’.
To make a long story short, the only way to have a biopsy was to remove the tumor. I was no longer playing with concern, I felt panic.
It was not difficult for me to find the dedicated intention needed to cleanse with raw fruits, vegetables and fresh juices. I felt like I may be in big trouble. I was 100% committed. In three months the tumor had shrunk to naval orange size and in 8 months it was gone. Who needs an examination to determine abnormality when there is no tumor to take tissue samples from. I live in humble gratitude.
That was six years ago. I changed my diet and it changed my life. With my husband we started Diet For Living Center. We teach Raw Food educational classes. We also offer career training as a Raw Food Chef/Holistic Health Coach for anyone looking for a career that changes lives.
