At last, health prevention is getting the respect it deserves. Americans are coming to their senses, taking action instead of waiting until grand measures have to be taken to save their lives.
Everyone is talking about a Plant Based Diet. Why, even Bill Clinton is ‘out’ as a Vegan after his heart episode. Chelsea is getting married and he said “he doesn’t want to miss his grandkids”.
Both my great grandfather and grandfather died of massive heat attacks before their time. By massive we mean the pain is so great you feel like a freight train is rolling over your chest just before you take your last breath. My father was saved from the same fate by a modern five part heart by-pass operation when he was just 53.
It was once believed that this family sequence of events was attributed to heredity. But medicine has grown-up. He was advised to give up the foods that killed other family members, add exercise and lose weight if he wanted to stick around.
He had the hell scared out of him when they peeled back his chest, did the procedure and stapled him back together.
To his great credit, over night, he added two miles of walking daily and eliminated the foods that were killing him. He lived to a truly ripe old age of 83. By then he felt content that he’d lived a long full life instead of being jerked off the planet before he was ready.
My Dad’s old diet was stacked against him. Lots of cream, butter and sour cream. He loved, loved, loved fried fatty foods, snacking, and dip. I mean, who doesn’t love dip? We gotta keep our dip!
There is no reason to give up the dip, this cherished favorite. It’s only important to change the ingredients. Keep it vegan, raw and dairy free. Our new Raw food recipe for dip is both yummy and creamy. Making change doesn’t have to be painful. It can be the most fun you’ve ever had!
