In the last few years, ‘gluten-free’ has risen to the top of the diet world. The number of Americans on a gluten-free diet has tripled in the last five years. There are all kinds of guesses as to how many people suffer from gluten sensitivity, gluten intolerance and celiac disease…..a no longer rare condition that does serious intestinal damage. Research estimates 18 million Americans have gluten problems, with many thousands more unaware and undiagnosed. Gluten has been attributed to gas, bloating, fatigue, brain fog, dizziness, inflammation, acne, constipation, migraines, and even fibromyalgia, diabetes and cancer. That’s a boatload of accusations. Is wheat guilty of causing so much bodily harm?
The first grinding stone was invented by the Egyptians about 8000 B.C. Wheat is clearly an age old food, so why so many health problems attributed to it most recently?
The Short Story? We are no longer eating ancient wheat. 99% of the world is now eating what is called ‘Modern Wheat’.
In 1971 Big Agriculture stepped in and created an original rare cross between ancient wheat and wild grass. At first it sounds harmless enough, right? But this new mutated breed was created in a science laboratory, with the use of gamma rays, x-rays, ultra violent light, chemical hybridizing agents and plant growth regulators. The result; a new modern wheat that is 75% starch. Starch turns to blood sugar in the body within minutes.
Hence in our heavy wheat eating culture, weight gain has skyrocketed. 29 million people in the U.S. are diabetic, with 79 million pre-diabetic.
Cancer loves sugar. Cancer cells can consume sugar up to 50 times faster than other cells. This is one of the reasons that, when diagnosed with cancer, the first thing you eliminate is bread and bread products made of modern wheat.
Our health follows our fork. All the illness issues from this mutated wheat is our body’s way of rejecting this un-natural form of non-nourishment created by modern science.
